Gaines Oil Company was founded in 1948 in Goldston, NC by Arthur Forbes, a well-known Saw Mill Operator. What began as a small Heating Oil Distributor soon became a multi-faceted distribution location for ESSO, most commonly known as Exxon and maintained this partnership for over 50 Years. The company continues to grow and move into other diverse verticals of the petroleum markets. The company is under the leadership of the 3rd Generation owner Todd Gaines, as it maintains the ability to be called “Family Owned and Operated”. Now it is operated as an independent distribution company offering customers several options for competitive prices while maintaining the best Quality & Service available anywhere in this industry.
